What’s the difference between therapy and coaching?
Therapy is a clinical process guided by a licensed professional, focused on treating mental health concerns, trauma, and emotional well-being. Coaching is more future-oriented and goal-based, often used for performance or leadership development, and does not address clinical diagnoses.
Do you integrate faith or spirituality into therapy?
Yes — when a client desires it. Our therapists are trained to work with a range of belief systems and can respectfully integrate spiritual or faith-based themes into the therapeutic process without pressure or assumption.
Do you take insurance?
At this time, SPARC does not bill insurance directly. We are considered an out-of-network provider and can provide a superbill (a detailed receipt) that you may submit to your insurance for potential reimbursement, depending on your plan.
What should I expect in my first session?
Your first session is a chance to talk through what’s bringing you in and to start building a safe, honest relationship with your therapist. You’ll share your goals, ask questions, and begin to outline what therapy might look like for you. There’s no pressure — just a starting point.
How long does therapy usually last?
That depends on your needs and goals. Some clients come in for a short season to work through a specific issue; others choose to continue for deeper, ongoing support. You and your therapist will decide what’s best for your journey.
Is therapy confidential?
Yes — absolutely. Your sessions and records are private and protected by law. The only exceptions are cases involving risk of harm to self or others, child or elder abuse, or a court order. We’ll explain this fully during intake.
Can I do therapy virtually?
Yes. We offer both in-person sessions and secure virtual therapy via HIPAA-compliant platforms. Many clients use a combination of both depending on their schedule or location.
What if I’ve had a bad experience with therapy before?
That’s okay — and you’re not alone. We understand that trust can take time. We’re committed to offering a space that feels safe, relational, and attuned to your needs. You’re always in control of the pace and direction of therapy.escription goes.
Do you work with teens, couples, or families?
Yes. We offer therapy for adolescents, couples, families, and individuals. Several of our therapists specialize in family systems work, adolescent development, and relational healing.
